I am Kuba wins prize at Tromsø International Film Festival
On Saturday evening, director Åse Svenheim Drivenes received The Tromsø Palm for I am Kuba at the Tromsø International Film Festival which took place this weekend.
The TROMSØ PALM AWARD which is presented to the best film in the festival’s ‘Films from the North’ program.
The jury which was this year made up of, Rudy Buttingnol, president and CEO at British Columbias Knowledge Network, Christine Cynn,, film director and producer and Odd-Arild Knutsen, president of the Tromsø Film Society stated:
– This film proves the power of classic observational documentary to capture a family in crisis, with intimacy and respect along with a critical edge.
